How to Apply

Step 1. Begin with clean, dry lips; if using balm, blot away excess so the surface is not slippery.
Step 2. Use the tip of the applicator to trace your natural lip line, defining the Cupid’s bow and corners.
Step 3. Using the flat side, sweep colour across the rest of the lips in thin, even strokes.
Step 4. Let the layer set for a few seconds without pressing your lips together to allow the matte finish to develop.
Step 5. For longer wear or more intensity, apply a second thin layer once the first has fully dried.
Step 6. To refresh during the day, gently remove or soften any build-up, then reapply a light layer rather than piling on product.

I was not sure what to expect when I bought this, but thought I’d give it a go. It has an unusual shaped tip, and that’s the whole point of these series of NYX eyeliners. This particular shape is less refined than a usual fine tip. It gives a thicker line and you have to have a slightly more expert hand to use it. So far it’s been really good and the colour and staying power is good. For the price it’s worth a go. As an aside, the service I got from Cosmetix was excellent. I ordered in the morning and had my products delivered and in my hands the next day (in Sydney).
